First we drove to Boris & Edna's "holiday house" in Point Lonsdale which is about half an hour from Geelong where they live. We were tired but ready to explore the area with our Aussie cousins. It was early spring in the Southern Hemisphere, so the weather was still a bit cool but beautiful.
Sunday morning we decided to take a short walk to the beach at Port Phillip Bay. We were surprised to see crowds of people staring out at the Bay. We found out that the they were awaiting the passage of the "tall ships" or schooners that were passing through Port Phillip Heads and then on to Sydney Harbor for an important upcoming sailing event.
